Mothers' Milk Bank of Ohio
Mothers' Milk Bank provides human milk by prescription to persons in need. Some health problems requiring donar milk include prematurity, malabsorption, formula intolerance, and immunological defiencies. Once collected donar milk is pasturized to eliminate potentially harmful viruses or bacteria. Throughout the pasturization process the milk retains almost all of infection fighting properties.

Some Specifics of Becoming a Milk Donar.
  • To donate you must have a negative blood test for HIV-1, Hiv-2, HTLV 1+2, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, & Syphilis. If you have not have a negative blood test within the 6 months prior to donation, a sample will be drawn at no charge to you.
  • Some medications require a waiting period between the time the medication is taken and the time milk is collected. Please contact the Mothers' Milk Bank of Ohio for specifics.
